چکیده
Introduction/Objective. Cardiovascular disease is one of the most common comorbidities among subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary (COPD). The aim this study to evaluate electrocardiogram (ECG) parameters and mortality predictors in COPD patients. Methods. A total 835 consecutive patients were included. classified suffer from if forced expiratory volume first second (FEV1) vital capacity (FVC) was < 70% three postbronchodilator measurements. following ECG changes observed: axis, P wave, low ORS complex, transitional zone, left bundle branch block (LBBB), right (RBBB), incomplete RBBB, S1S2S3 configuration, negative T V1?V3. followed up for over a five-year period. Results. Both survivors non-survivors similar age, sex, status. FVC FEV1, as well Global Initiative Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease stadiums significantly higher survivor group (p 0.016, p 0.001, respectively). Normal axis percentage non-survived = 0.020). RBBB are more frequent findings who died 0.05, LBBB, configuration present In multivariable logistic model, LBBB have two times chance compared without LBBB. contrast, 1.6 lower having death outcome. Conclusion. main patients? but according statistical should be further explored possibly obligatory involved routine clinical practice an easy low-cost screening method.

Evaluation of Prognostic Factors of Mortality in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Background and Objective: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic obstructive and irreversible disease which has a high mortality and morbidity rate. Systemic inflammation and the thrombotic process can influence the prognosis of these patients. The objectives of this study were to evaluate prognostic effects of CBC indices (WBC, PMN, MPV, RDW), forced expiratory volume-one se...

Background and Purpose: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has been recognized as a risk factor for invasive aspergillosis. Airway colonization by Aspergillus species is a common feature of chronic pulmonary diseases. Nowadays, the incidence of COPD has increased in critically ill patients. The aim of the present study was to isolate and identify Aspergillus colonies in the respirator...

متن کاملThe Lipid Profile Parameter in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients and Correlation with Severity of Disease
Introduction: More than 90% of the deaths caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) occur in the low- and middle -income countries. The main aim of this study was to investigate the lipid profile levels in COPD patients and examine the correlation of total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, high density lipoproteins, and LDL/HDL risk ratio with COPD stages that a...
